In the spotlight // St. Peter’s ACHS College School

St. Peter’s ACHS College School for boys grades 1-8 is proud to open its doors in Amherstburg. Established in 1990, this academic (day/residential) sports school offers a different alternative to the regular school system. The school is set up for boys who are active, athletic and love the outdoors. The school strives for high academic success and supports the belief of “A Healthy Body, A Healthy Mind.” Small class sizes, interactive learning, along with a caring and well qualified staff help students gain success while working at their own level and speed.

St. Peter’s ACHS uses old school values which in part stresses respect and a back to basics philosophy. At the same time the school also encompasses and embraces the new technology of the 21st century. It helps ensure students will have an edge when they graduate and enter a highly competitive world. We welcome students to come for a visit and spend some time with us, even just for a day. Let them come and experience the St. Peter’s ACHS College School difference. For more information or to schedule a visit, call 519-736-2014, and visit

St. Peter’s ACHS College School is located at 6101 County Road 20, RR#5, Harrow, Ontario.

In the spotlight // Dr. Stefano Story & Dr. Chad Denomme Family Dentistry

Dr. Story and Dr. Denomme Family Dentistry opened its doors only one year ago in the town of Amherstburg and continues to welcome new patients.

Both Dr. Storey and Dr. Donomme were born and raised in Windsor Essex County. Together they obtained their undergraduate degrees at the University of Windsor and their dental degrees at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2009.

Both doctors have very similar philosophies and ideologies when it comes to practicing dentistry.

We understand that most patients have anxiety when it comes to the dentist and we pride ourselves on providing individualized treatment in a comfortable manner. We also place enormous value on patient education and the importance of the patients’ understanding of their treatment options. We stand behind all of our work and are constantly upgrading our skills and technology to deliver quality treatment of the highest degree. We know that one of the main concerns patients have are with radiation from x-rays. With digital sensors versus film we are able to decrease the level of radiation by 80-90 percent every time we take an x-ray. We are also able to take digital photographs with no radiation to help patients have a better understanding of their treatment needs.

Our office is offering free take-home whitening or sports guard with every new patient exam and cleaning.

Please call to schedule your appointment today, 519-736-1771, or visit our website,, and send us a message.

In the spotlight // D’Angelo Vineyards Estate Winery

D’Angelo Vineyards Estate Winery sits on a 50 acre vineyard on the 5th Concession in Amherstburg. Sal D’Angelo purchased the land back in 1981 and planted the first grape vines in 1983.

Do you know what type of vines were planted? Marechal Foch. Never heard of them? Well, that’s not surprising, we are the only vineyard in Essex County that grows this French hybrid. We also grow Vidal, Marquette, Cab Foch, Merlot and Baco Noir.

Our wines have won numerous awards and Sal was awarded the title of Grape King in 1999. This was the first time ever someone outside of the Niagara area was honoured.

Along with having wonderful, unique wines we also offer tours with the wine maker, Chris D’Angelo, and daily tastings. We hold luncheons and dinners that include a tour and tasting. We also offer wine for sale by the glass if you would just like to stop by and relax.

Give us a call and let us help you plan your next outing or special event.
